This policy explains what faker.tools(“we”, “the site”) collects when you visit, what our third-party vendors collect, and what you can do about it. It applies to faker.tools and every page under it.
What we do not collect
Every generator on this site is JavaScript that runs on your own machine. There is no server-side generation, no database, and no API that receives your inputs. Concretely, that means we never receive, store, or log:
- the seed you type, or the parameters you set on any generator;
- the records a generator produces for you;
- the text you paste into the data anonymizer — its pattern matching happens entirely in your browser, and the input never crosses the network.
You can verify this. Open your browser’s network inspector, generate a batch, and watch: no request carries your data. Disconnect from the network entirely and the generators keep working, because the page is already fully downloaded.
There are no user accounts on this site, so we hold no name, email address, or password for you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not operate a mailing list.
Storage on your device
The site itself sets one item in your browser’s localStorage: faker-theme, holding the string light or dark. It exists so the page does not flash the wrong colour scheme when you load it. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted anywhere, and clearing your site data removes it.
Our advertising and analytics vendors set their own cookies and storage. Those are covered below.
Third parties that run on these pages
The site is free and is paid for by advertising. That means code from other companies runs on these pages, and those companies collect data under their own privacy policies. They are:
- Google AdSense — serves advertisements. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Ezoic— manages ad placement, site analytics, and the consent notice you may have seen on your first visit. Ezoic’s full, always-current privacy disclosure is embedded at g.ezoic.net/privacy/faker.tools.
- Google Analytics — measures aggregate traffic: page views, referrers, approximate country, device class. We use it to learn which tools people find useful. We have not enabled any advertising-personalisation feature within Analytics, and we never send it the contents of a generated batch.
Third-party cookies and advertising
Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. Opting out does not remove advertising; it makes it less relevant.
Third-party vendors, including Google, may also use cookies to track whether you have already been shown a particular advertisement, in order to limit repetition.
Server logs
Like every website, this one is delivered by a host that records ordinary request logs — IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp. These are used for delivery, security, and abuse prevention, and are retained by the host under its own schedule. They contain no data you generated, because that data never reaches a server.
Consent, and how to change your mind
If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, a consent notice appears before advertising vendors set non-essential cookies, and your choice is recorded under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. You can reopen that notice at any time from the privacy or consent link our consent-management platform places on the page, and withdraw consent as easily as you gave it.
Independently of any notice, clearing cookies and site data for faker.tools in your browser settings removes everything described in this policy from your device.
Your rights
Under the GDPR, and under the CCPA/CPRA in California, you have rights to access, correct, delete, and port personal data held about you, and to object to certain processing. We hold no personal data about you ourselves — there is no account, no profile, and no record of your activity in our possession — so in most cases the party to approach is the vendor named above.

- For anything you believe we hold, or to raise a concern about this policy, write to hello@faker.tools. We answer within 30 days.
We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13, and this site is not directed at them. It is a developer utility.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially — a new vendor, a new category of data — the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, so the date is the honest signal. This version is effective 2026-08-10.
